Wizz Air Launched 18 New Routes from Gatwick in Time for Easter Travel Rush

Wizz Air is launching 18 new routes from Gatwick today, just in time for the Easter travel rush.

With the reopening of the airport’s South Terminal, the budget airline will be able to offer a total of 25 itineraries.

Bari, Bourgas, Faro, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Palma, Larnaca, Varna, Venice, Vienna, Catania, Podgorica, Tel Aviv, Chania, Mykonos, and Funchal are among the new routes, which are available on a seasonal or year-round basis.

One-way prices to Italy’s Bari, Milan, Naples, Palermo, and Venice, as well as Austria’s Vienna, start at £8.99.

The airline began operations at Gatwick Airport in October 2020, creating 210 new direct employment.

Wizz Air purchased 15 daily slot pairs at Gatwick in December, bringing the total number of Airbus A321neo aircraft to five.

At Gatwick, the airline is hiring cabin and flight crew members and will host a series of open recruitment days in April.
