Winter Escapes with EasyJet: New Routes to Iceland and Beyond

This winter, easyJet will introduce nine new routes from the UK, including the first flights to a new location in Iceland. Flights from Gatwick will begin twice a week on 31st October 2023, and the airline will run to Akureyri in North Iceland.

In meanwhile, easyJet Vacations is selling packages to the new location that include flights, hotels, and 23kg of baggage. There are lodging options, such as the Myvatn Hotel close to the Myvatn nature spas, and the Hotel Aiglo by Keahotels. Before a new base in Birmingham opens in the spring, the airline will keep growing its network out of the midlands, with new routes beginning this winter to the French towns of Lyon and Paris starting on 30th October and city break packages offered by easyJet vacations.

This winter will see the launch of further new routes, including ones to Paris Charles de Gaulle from London Southend and a weekly service to Grenoble from Manchester. Additionally, there will be new services between Bristol and Marrakech and London Luton and Enfidha in Tunisia.
Additionally, EasyJet will increase domestic connection from the area by providing more options from Southampton with the debut of two new routes to Glasgow and Belfast on 29th October. These routes will have up to three departures each week.
