WestJet, a Canadian airline, has launched a new flight between Glasgow and Toronto.
Flights will be available four times per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The service comes after the airline resumed three-times-week flights to Halifax earlier this month.
Both flights will be flown by the latest generation Boeing 737 aircraft, which are said to be 40% quieter than prior models.
John Weatherill, WestJet’s chief commercial officer, stated: “The launch of service between Toronto and Glasgow, marks another milestone in recovery as we rebuild our network and strengthen transatlantic connectivity between our two countries.
“These connections are critical to the recovery of international travel and tourism and we look forward to stimulating business and leisure travel between both destinations as we work towards restoring our network to pre-pandemic levels this summer.”
