Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to Open a Guardians of the Galaxy Rollercoaster

A new Guardians of the Galaxy rollercoaster is planned to open at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the first Disney World attraction to feature the blockbuster superhero film and the first reverse launch for a Disney coaster, will open to tourists visiting EPCOT at the resort on 27th May.

Popular characters from the franchise appear in the ride, including Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord. The new attraction is part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations and marks another milestone in EPCOT’s ongoing makeover.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is EPCOT’s first “other-world” showcase pavilion, located in the park’s newly renamed World Discovery district.

The attraction incorporates historic pop music into its experience, with songs from the 1970s and 1980s playing as visitors speed through space.
