W Hotels Expands in Italy with W Milan

W Hotels is expanding in Italy, with plans to launch two new locations in Milan and Naples in 2024.

The Marriott-owned brand has secured agreements to open W Milan – Duomo and W Naples, joining the recently launched W Rome and the upcoming W Florence, which will open in the Tuscan city next year.

The W Milan – Duomo will be located in a city center building that was previously a bank in the 1920s. The hotel will have 166 rooms and 36 suites, including the brand’s take on a presidential suite, the Extreme Wow Suite.

A rooftop bar and restaurant with outdoor terraces offering panoramic views of Milan will be among the attractions. A spa with an indoor pool and a workout center will also be available.

Meanwhile, W Naples will be housed in a historic structure on Piazza del Municipio. The hotel will include 78 rooms, 17 suites, and some will have own patios. A lounge, restaurant, and fitness center will be available in the public sections.

Marriott International’s senior director of development in Italy, Gianleo Bosticco, stated: “The spirited cities of Milan and Naples have long been a destination of choice for global jet setters, and we’re delighted to answer to the growing demand for luxury lifestyle hotels with these two significant signings.”
