23 additional direct routes from the UK have been added to Vueling’s summer timetable, bringing its operations back to 2019 levels.
The low-cost carrier revealed on Wednesday (17th May) that expanding to 278 foreign locations was a key component of a plan to “de-seasonalise” the service, boost demand, and expand operations by 9% yearly.
According to Carolyn Prowse, chief commercial, customer, strategy, and network officer, “This summer schedule highlights the company’s efforts to offer competitive and affordable prices to our customers with almost 300 routes to more than 100 attractive destinations,”
Vueling has raised the frequency of its flights between Gatwick and Alicante to three times weekly as part of its renewed focus on the UK market. Additionally, it has begun offering twice-weekly flights to Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
“We continue reinforcing our position in Spain with outstanding leadership in Barcelona and Bilbao, in addition to consolidating our international commitment through London Gatwick and Paris Orly,” Prowse added.
Five UK airports, including Manchester and Edinburgh, offer connections to Spain as well as to France, Italy, and Spain.
