Virgin Atlantic Expands its Reach to Brazil and India with New Flight Services

Virgin Atlantic has revealed plans to introduce new flight services to Sao Paulo in Brazil and Bengaluru (Bangalore) in India, starting in the coming year.

The airline’s inaugural route to South America will commence with a daily service from Heathrow Airport to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport on 13th May, 2024. Ticket sales are expected to begin in August, with fares starting at £655.

Additionally, flights to Bengaluru will take off on 31st March 2024, marking the airline’s third destination and fourth daily service to India.

Virgin Atlantic’s partnership with Latam, South America’s largest airline, makes Sao Paulo a crucial hub in Brazil. This collaboration offers customers convenient connections to 12 domestic airports in Brazil, including popular destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Florianopolis.

With the addition of the Bengaluru route, Virgin Atlantic will now provide 500,000 seats annually between the United Kingdom and India. The airline’s expanding codeshare agreement with IndiGo enables passengers to reach 34 destinations across India.

These announcements follow Virgin Atlantic’s recent news about its return to Dubai, offering seasonal flights from October to March, and the reintroduction of seasonal summer services between Manchester and Las Vegas.
