For the first time since the pandemic, a brand-new ship that was specially designed for this purpose has begun travelling for Viking on the Mekong River.
A 15-day route is being operated by the 80-passenger Viking Saigon between Kampong Cham, Cambodia and My Tho, Vietnam.
The upper deck of the three-deck ship has an open-air bar, an infinity pool, and a spa and fitness centre.
Along with eight days of Mekong river sailing, the package includes hotel accommodations in Hanoi, Siem Reap, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Regular sailing dates are available through March 2023, and the following sailing season will begin in July 2023.
For reservations made by 31st December 2023 river cruises, including the Magnificent Mekong route, will be discounted by £750 per person.
Chairman of Viking, Torstein Hagen, said: “The fascinating cultures of Vietnam and Cambodia have always made this region a favourite destination among our guests.
“We are also pleased to welcome back to south-east Asia our first guests since early 2020.
“With the arrival of the Viking Saigon, we look forward to introducing even more curious travellers to this iconic waterway in the coming years.”
