In order to enter the UAE, fully vaccinated travelers and those who have recovered from Covid-19 will no longer be required to do a PCR test.
The UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) acknowledged the loosening of limitations.
Unvaccinated travelers will be required to present a negative PCR test done within 48 hours of departure as proof of recovery, while those who have not been vaccinated will be asked to present a vaccination certificate for a WHO or UAE-approved vaccine.
On its website, Dubai-based Emirates announced the move, while Etihad Airways’ Instagram feed said: “Good news! No PCR test needed to fly to Abu Dhabi if you are fully vaccinated, hold a Covid-19 recovery certificate or are under 16 years old.”
