Thailand’s tourism office has announced that the quarantine period for vaccinated visitors has been reduced from 14 to seven days.
Those entering the country under the Sandbox isolation model, which enables visitors to roam freely in approved resorts, will be required to produce proof of vaccination at the point of entry starting today (1st October).
They’ll also have to take a PCR test when they arrive and another before they leave quarantine.
Those who come to Thailand by air without having been vaccinated, without a vaccine certificate, or who have been inadequately vaccinated will be subjected to a 10-day quarantine and two PCR tests.
Arrivals who have not been vaccinated and travel to Thailand by land will still be subjected to a 14-day quarantine and two PCR tests.
However, the UK Foreign Office is officially advising against all but essential travel to the destination on Covid concerns.
