TAP Air Portugal will run 17 extra flights to the Americas in the summer of 2023 to get back to pre-pandemic flight levels.
There will be an additional 10 flights each week conducted to the US, according to the airline, which claimed it was increasing capacity “in line with consumer demand.”
TAP will offer 14 weekly flights to Boston, 10 weekly flights to Miami and Washington, and five weekly flights to Chicago and San Francisco.
Additionally, it will run six additional flights per week to Brazil, including 20 to So Paulo, seven to Belo Horizonte, six to Salvador and Brasilia, and four to Belém.
In order to strengthen connectivity between Portugal and Venezuela, TAP said it would expand the number of weekly flights from Lisbon to Caracas from two to three.
It added that it has “additional plans” for its Porto hub and referred to the increase in transatlantic flights from Lisbon as “important.”
