International visitors will no longer be required to take a PCR test within 24 hours of their arrival in South Korea.
Beginning on Saturday (1st October), the admission requirements will be loosened.
As a result, pre-arrival screening, which had been in place ever since the nation opened its borders in April of this year, has been abolished. This decision was made earlier this month.
Inside Travel Group, an expert in Asia tours and the parent company of InsideAsia Tours and InsideJapan Tours, hailed the decision as “excellent news for travel” and said it came at “a fantastic time.”
The tour operator’s co-founder, Simon King, said: “The removal of this final hurdle will doubtless encourage more people to visit, and they will not be disappointed.
“InsideAsia has seen an increased demand for its fully tailored cultural adventures across the Korean peninsula as more people look to discover this country and culture that has that uniquely mysterious edge to it.”
