Singapore Airlines passengers departing from the United Kingdom will soon have access to pre-departure Covid-19 PCR tests at a cost of £99.
As part of an ongoing pilot scheme for customers based in Indonesia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, the UK will become the fourth market to join the programme.
Collinson runs the tests through a dedicated online booking portal which allows customers to receive their results within 36 hours. A digital certificate and QR code is generated on the portal which can be presented to airport staff upon check-in. There is also an option to print results.
Singapore Airlines became the first airline in the world to test the IATA Travel Pass on a Heathrow flight ahead of the app’s April launch.
Mohamed Rafi Mar, SIA’s general manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, said: “Expanding the one-stop pre-departure testing portal to our UK based customers is part of our ongoing efforts to provide passengers with a vital service during this time.
“By housing all necessary pre-departure information on one platform, our passengers can enjoy a much more streamlined and seamless booking and pre-flight experience with Singapore Airlines”.
