Singapore Airlines Stunning New 737 Business Class Cabin

Singapore Airlines has officially shown the interiors of its new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, and the business class cabin is stunning.

The Boeing 737s operated by Singapore Airlines will have a small business class cabin with only 10 seats in a staggered configuration. The first and third rows will be arranged in a 2-2 pattern, while the second row will be arranged in a 1-1 pattern.
The airline has chosen a staggered configuration for the jet from Thompson Aero, which allows for a lot of customization.

Seats will be up to 22 inches wide and convert to a 76-inch flatbed. A 16-inch personal television with a touchscreen monitor, a reading light with adjustable brightness, and enough storage will be available in each seat.
The majority of passengers will be sat in the 2-2 layout, which is a very common flatbed business class product for a narrow body.
Meanwhile, two lucky travelers will be assigned “throne” seats with direct aisle access and ample storage.

Most narrow-body planes with fully flat mattresses, including airlines like Aer Lingus, JetBlue, and TAP Air Portugal, have a similar configuration. We’ve mostly seen these things on Airbus A320 family planes so far, so seeing this concept on a Boeing 737 family plane is exciting (FlyDubai was the first airline to install these kinds of seats on 737s).

Collins Aerospace developed the economy class seats, which are arranged in a 3-3 layout. Seats will have a pitch of 30 inches, a breadth of 18 inches, and a recline of 5 inches. Each seat will have a 10′′ personal television as well as a USB port (though no AC power). A curved backrest for improved support, as well as a four-way adjustable headrest with foldable wings, will be included with the slimline seats.

Panasonic’s X-series inflight entertainment system will be installed on Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 737 aircraft. The same KrisWorld entertainment content will be available on this flight as it is on other Singapore Airlines flights. There will also be a new 3D flight map with over 20 different viewpoints.

Customers can also use the Singapore Airlines mobile app to browse the choices and create a personalized playlist of movies, TV episodes, and music. Controlling media playback directly from one’s personal device will also be feasible.

Panasonic’s inflight Wi-Fi service will be available on Singapore Airlines’ 737s. The cost of this service has yet to be determined.
