This summer, Disney will add to its growing fleet of cruise ships sailing across the UK. Disney Magic will offer a number of short cruises from the UK.
The ship will mainly operate two and three night round-trip sailings from London Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Southampton in addition to a few four-night sailings.
Passengers will stay on board Disney Magic for the duration of the cruise.
“Disney Magic at sea staycation sailings are expected to go on sale in April for sailings this summer, pending the issuance of UK government guidelines and authorisations,” the line said.
“Disney Cruise Line is implementing multiple layers of health and safety measures considering guidance from the UK government, health authorities and medical experts.
“This includes Covid-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings, reduced guest capacity, physical distancing and enhanced cleaning.”
Families will be allowed on board, and the company hasn’t decided if a Covid vaccine will be needed because “the situation with vaccines continues to evolve quickly.”
“Our teams are bringing incredible creativity and fun to these new cruises, tailoring them with care to the times we live in, yet filling them with everything you’d expect from Disney, from great service and entertainment to immersive dining experiences and magic for the whole family,” said Disney Cruise Line president Thomas Mazloum.
The 2022 European schedule went on sale yesterday (26th March 2021) which includes three round-trip departures from Dover.
In February, the line announced that all 2021 departures from the United States will be postponed until the end of May, and that Disney Magic’s European season will be cancelled until 10th August 2021.
