Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary, will launch its first UK service from Gatwick to Singapore through Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The new Gatwick service will begin operating on December 16th, with two-weekly flights through December 30th, followed by a three-times-weekly seasonal schedule beginning in March 2022.
According to Scoot, the route could be re-evaluated, with a “possible increase in frequency based on demand and regulatory approval.”
Scoot’s fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners will fly the route, with economy and ScootPlus seats available. It will supplement Singapore Airlines’ existing Heathrow-Singapore operations.
Scoot will begin serving over 30 locations in December 2021, as it “gradually returns” to its pre-Covid network of 68 cities. Scoot also has daily flights between Singapore and Bangkok at the moment.
