Sandals Resorts International has expanded its Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island in Jamaica to include 48 luxury suites.
The rooms, which are the last to be renovated at the Montego Bay resort, following the programme of renovation which began in December 2019, will increase the total number of rooms on sale to 280.
As part of the renovation, three new restaurants have opened at the resort. This is in addition to the renovation of 36 rooms in the Caernavon and Arundel buildings which was completed last year. The South Pool and surrounding area now have new cabanas, fans, lighting, an outdoor shower area, and a jacuzzi.
Stays in the 48 new will be possible from 15th December 2021 and the resort is accepting bookings from now. The new suites comprise two room types and are housed in the resort’s Caribbean Village in the new four-story Cheques building.
Of the 48 suites, the 12 Crystal Lagoon Hideaway Swim Up Junior Suites are located on the club level and feature hot tubs on the patio. For the first time at the resort, the 12 junior suites on the ground floor have swim-up pool access from a private outdoor patio. The suites feature a king-size bed, a fully stocked in-room kitchen, and a shower bathroom.
The remaining are 36 Crystal Lagoon Hideaway Junior Suites feature hot tubs on the balcony. These suites are located on second to forth floors and feature private balconies with garden and pool views, as well as a ‘tranquilly tub’ for two, a private curtain, and a bistro dining table. The rooms have a wide seating area as well as a high-definition smart television.
The Club Sandals lounge and concierge facilities, which handle private check-in and all-day room service, will be available to all guests staying in the new suites.
The British-style resort is known for its water sports, spa, over-the-water bungalows and villas as well as nine five-star restaurants and a private island.
