For summer 2023, Ryanair has released its busiest Bristol schedule yet, with 33 routes that include new arrivals to Bydgoszcz, Porto, Marseille, and Venice.
The airline will base a fifth aircraft at the airport as part of the expansion, which is a component of a $500 million investment in the southwest region, and enhance frequencies on nine current routes, including Dublin, Limoges, Milan, and Palma.
At Bristol Airport, the investment will also support 1,500 indirect employment and 150 aviation jobs.
Eddie Wilson, the CEO of Ryanair, said the company was “delighted” to announce the expansion.
Chief Executive Officer of Bristol Airport Dave Lees stated: “We are delighted with Ryanair’s announcement increasing the 2023 flight programme to its largest ever schedule from Bristol airport. This is a clear demonstration of confidence returning in the region for air travel.
“Expanding Ryanair’s route network and adding extra capacity to existing routes, gives customers in the southwest easy and affordable access to air travel on an increasing number of destinations and flexibility of stay lengths, without the need to travel to other airports for their flights.”
In the summer of 2023, Ryanair will also increase the number of destinations it serves from Liverpool John Lennon airport by introducing new flights to Ibiza, Madrid, and Shannon.
Ibiza flights will start on March 28 and run once a week, and Madrid flights will start the following day with three weekly departures.
In addition to Cork, Dublin, and Knock, Shannon will be served from Liverpool twice weekly beginning on March 26. By the end of the summer, up to 46 Irish departures per week could be available.
