A new flight from Stansted to Edinburgh has been introduced by Ryanair and is scheduled to take off at the end of October.
With 129 winter routes to and from Stansted, Ryanair is operating its busiest schedule from the London airport.
Up to 14 times every week, the low-cost carrier will run the Stansted to Edinburgh route.
Jason McGuinness, the commercial director, said: “Ryanair offers over 2,000 weekly flights across 129 routes, connecting it to some of the biggest cities in Europe such as Edinburgh and Rome, giving our customers the choice of more destinations than ever before.”
“Ryanair has already demonstrated its willingness to respond to this and will launch eight new additional domestic services from April following the halving of the aviation tax on domestics,” he said.
In the year leading up to Cop26, former chancellor RishiSunak reduced domestic flight taxes by half.
Following the ruling, 400,000 additional domestic flights were expected to be added to airline UK schedules.
