Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Rosewood Riyadh, which will open in 2025 in Saudi Arabia’s capital.
The hotel will be located within Diriyah Gate, a mixed-use luxury development project that intends to become the country’s top lifestyle destination, on the historic, Unesco-listed site of At-Turaif.
240 rooms and suites will be available, including 48 Wadi Suites with one to three bedrooms. Four restaurants and bars, a fitness center, a kids’ club, and a ballroom, as well as Asaya, Rosewood’s unique wellness concept, will be available.
Following the inauguration of Rosewood Jeddah in 2007, Rosewood Riyadh will be the brand’s second hotel in Saudi Arabia. It will be the fourth Rosewood property in the Middle East, following Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Rosewood Doha, all of which are scheduled to open in 2022.
Rosewood Hotel Group’s chief executive officer, Sonia Cheng, said: “We are thrilled to further our presence in the Middle East with an opening in Riyadh, a historic trade hub and exemplar of 21st-century vision.
“The Diriyah Gate development is bringing the destination to an expanded international audience of discerning travelers and we’re excited to be a part of the city’s continued evolution.”
Jerry Inzerillo, the DGDA’s Group Chief Executive, added: “Rosewood will bring a level of refinement to Diriyah, mirroring the past whilst providing guests with the excitement of the future.
“Guests will be immersed in a cultural journey spanning the centuries through the joint efforts of Diriyah and the Rosewood team; we are excited to unveil more in the coming months.”
The opening is one of the brand’s 25 new projects now in the works. Rome, Miyakojima, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Mexico City, and San Francisco are among the most recent properties to be disclosed.
