From 10th March 2023, Resorts World Cruises will resume sailings from Hong Kong with the Resorts World One, offering two- and three-night high-seas cruises that leave on Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays of each week.
The Explorer Dream, a 75,338 gross ton, 13-story-tall cruise ship with 928 rooms and top-of-the-line cruise amenities, was the precursor to the Resorts World One.
Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Chairman of Resorts World Cruises said: “We are pleased that Resorts World Cruises will have the first cruise ship to homeport in Hong Kong after the resumption of normal travel with the Mainland and overseas. We hope to support the growth of the Hong Kong tourism as we had done for both Singapore and Malaysia.”
From 17th February until 1st March 2023, Resorts World One, which Resorts World Cruises has rented, will take the place of the Genting Dream on its regular two- and three-night voyages while the Genting Dream is in drydock for routine repairs. A special five-night repositioning cruise offered by Resorts World One will set sail from Singapore on March 3 and stop in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang on the way to Hong Kong on 8th March.
Passengers can also board this repositioning cruise from Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) on 2nd March, making it a six-night voyage that stops in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang before docking in Hong Kong on 8th March.
Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises said :“It’s been an exciting journey so far and we are looking forward to starting our next chapter in 2023 with the introduction of the Resorts World One cruise ship. The ship will increase tourist arrivals and generate economic benefits to the hotels, transport, suppliers and other service sectors in Hong Kong. Resorts World One will berth at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, contributing revenue to the government owned facility.”
