At the airport in Doha, Qatar Airways has revealed three lounges with a combined capacity of 420 customers.
The Privilege Club, a loyalty program run by Qatar Airways, and oneworld alliance cardholders are the only guests allowed in the Platinum, Gold, and Silver lounges at Hamad International Airport (HIA).
Passengers can “relax, unwind, and enjoy Qatar Airways’ amenity items” in the “state-of-the-art” Platinum, Gold, and Silver lounges, according to the airline.
Up to 140 passengers can be accommodated in the Platinum Lounge South, which also has a quiet area, prayer room, bar, restaurant, and showers.
Along with free WiFi, there are a la carte and buffet options for meals. Oneworld Emerald cardholders and Platinum members of Qatar Airways will have access to the lounge.
Up to 85 passengers can fit in the Gold Lounge South, which offers a variety of amenities like family seats, a bar, a dining area with a buffet, showers, and free WiFi. Oneworld Sapphire cardholders and Qatar Airways Gold loyalty members get access to the Gold Lounge South.
Up to 195 persons can be accommodated in the Silver Lounge South, which is accessible to Qatar Airways Silver loyalty cardholders. It has conference rooms, a quiet area, a family section, buffet eating, and luggage storage options.
Members of the oneworld Emerald and Sapphire program, as well as the Platinum and Gold Privilege Club, are all eligible to bring one visitor for free.
Akbar Al Baker, the group’s chief executive, said: “We look forward to welcoming passengers to experience our sophisticated, modern and spacious lounges.”
