During the recently revealed 2024 cruise season, which is currently on sale, Princess Cruises announces a return to Japan.
“Japan has been a popular homeport and destination experience for Princess guests for many years and we’re thrilled to offer such a culturally-rich season of cruises in this region for the 2024 season,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises.
The Royal Princess, the first ship of the Royal-Class to sail in the area, will also make its debut in 2024. The sailings on offer offer numerous chances to take in the summer festivals and spring blossoms.
During the cherry blossom season, the Royal Highness will travel a new Japan and North Pacific Crossing itinerary that includes calls in the northern Tohoku and Hokkaido regions. In order to see Alaskan glaciers, passengers can combine this excursion with the cruise line’s Tour of the Glaciers ship. On a 15-day trip, passengers can choose to disembark in Anchorage (Whittier), or they can continue on to Vancouver, British Columbia. regarding a 22-day cruise.
On 27th April 2024, the voyage will leave Tokyo (Yokohama).
The Diamond Princess will be back in Japan for the 2024 season, serving roundtrips from Tokyo (Yokohama) with calls to 35 locations across three nations from March through August. The length of the voyages will be seven to 23 days.
With calls to each of the four major islands of Japan, the Diamond Princess will launch the season with a series of four ten-day Spring Flowers sailings. The following festivals will be among those available to passengers on the Diamond Princess in each port:

Festival of the Tokushima Awa Odori Dance (13th Aug)
Festival of Fireworks in Kumano (17th Aug)
In addition, the Diamond Princess will take passengers on popular ten-day Japan Explorer cruises as well as nine-day Southern Islands journeys that stop at two Okinawan ports and two Taiwan ports, as well as Sea of Japan sailings that visit ports along the Kitamaebune trading route.
Nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites are also accessible as part of Princess Cruises’ 2024 Japan tour, including Mount Fuji, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, Buddhist Monuments in the Horyu-ji District, Iriomote Island, and the Jomon Prehistoric Sites.
