Due to “extraordinary” demand, Oceania Cruises’ new ship Vista’s debut has been moved up by a week.
Instead of 20th May 2023, the 1,200-passenger ship will now go into operation on 13th May.
Today marks the start of sales for a brand-new “Founder’s Cruise” sailing from the port of Rome to Venice.
According to the firm, “extraordinary demand for the ship’s debut season has now advanced the maiden voyage by a week.”
Frank Del Rio, founder of Oceania Cruises and CEO of parent firm Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, will host the new seven-night voyage to mark the company’s 20th anniversary.
The ship will make port calls in Croatia, Greece, and Italy.
Howard Sherman, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises, said: “Vista has been driving exceptional demand from the moment we first revealed her inaugural voyages.
“With all of her maiden season voyages sold out or on waitlist status, we are introducing an additional voyage to satisfy that exceptional demand.”
