The resumption of virtual muster drills has been confirmed by Norwegian Cruise Line.
“In an effort to enhance the onboard guest experience while keeping the safety of our guests and crew our top priority, we will reinstate e-muster drills through our online check-in for sailings beginning April 1, 2023,” the company said.
During the pandemic, the corporation switched to virtual e-muster drills; however, it had lately gone back to the more conventional in-person drill protocols.
“We are committed to delivering an exceptional and safe experience on board and, as such, will continue to actively evaluate and modify our processes for best practices,” Norwegian Cruise Line added.
The move is anticipated to be implemented gradually, with the start dates for certain ships being disclosed over the month of April.
During the COVID-19 pandemic operating hiatus, some cruise lines switched to more contemporary muster drill procedures as new health and safety protocols were introduced.
