From 1st March, guests on Norwegian Cruise Line’s sailings out of US ports will no longer be required to wear face masks.
Sail Safe policy was revised to reflect the change in approach, which it believes is warranted because all passengers over the age of five and all crew members must be vaccinated.
Within two days of boarding for cruises departing from the United States, or three days for cruises departing from the United States, all guests will be required to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 antigen or PCR test result administered by a verified third party, or via a medically supervised home test.
Guest are also responsible for following any local health and safety laws, which may include further testing if necessary, according to the NCL.
NCL said, “You want to cruise. We want to keep you safe.
“With Norwegian, our leading health and safety program allows you and your loved ones to cruise with the ultimate safety.
“All guests age five and over, as well as crew, are required to be 100% fully vaccinated, so you can cruise with confidence. Let’s get back to living life to the fullest, together. Sail Safe. Feel Free.
“As government regulations evolve, our health and safety protocols will evolve as needed to ensure compliance. This may mean different protocols from ship to ship based on local requirements.”
