A series of unusual routes are expected to increase port-rich journeys by 15% between October 2024 and the end of 2025.
New ports of call for Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sun, and Norwegian Sky include Manama in Bahrain, Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, Sokhna, Egypt, and Akita, Japan. Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sun, and Norwegian Sky will sail for the first time in Asia.
Up to May 2025, cruises on the three ships will travel to the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan over an eight-month period.
On 1st March 2025, Norwegian Star will operate the line’s inaugural voyage from Ushuaia in Argentina with a 14-day itinerary to Antarctica and Brazil.
While Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun will operate departures from Haifa in Israel, Norwegian Spirit will make a third season return to Australia.
In addition, Norwegian Sky will begin 16-day voyages in December 2024 from Dubai to Mauritius via the Seychelles, Kenya, Tanzania, and Oman. The ship will next go on a 17-day trip from the island in the Indian Ocean to Singapore.
Harry Sommer, president and CEO of NCL, said: “Our guests are craving longer, immersive and more unique itineraries that take them off the beaten path.
“These new sailings represent the most diverse itinerary programme to date and feature many brand firsts, including an extended Asia offering and new ports in Argentina, Bahrain, Japan and Egypt.”
