From Monday (4th April), Norwegian Air will no longer compel customers to wear face masks.
As a result of changed guidance across Europe, the required requirement will be lifted on every flight across the budget carrier’s network for the first time since 17th June 2020.
As governments relax or eliminate Covid travel restrictions, passengers will be able to choose whether or not to wear a face mask.
Since 12th February, when the limitations were first dropped across Scandinavia, the carrier has seen increasing passenger demand and optimism to book ahead for both leisure and business travel.
Norwegian Air is optimistic that travel will rebound and thrive in the next summer months.
According to the airline, “Norwegian advises all passengers to check the local requirements and guidance at their destination before traveling, including stops and connecting flights in Europe.
“It is the responsibility of the passenger to comply with local regulations and restrictions. Those who still wish to wear a face mask on board are welcome to do so.”
