Norse Atlantic to Offer New Service from Gatwick to Four US Destinations

In summer, long-distance low-cost airline Norse Atlantic Airways will offer service from Gatwick to Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

In addition to the services currently planned to begin in May, there will also be new transatlantic connections to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and New York. Up to 36 weekly flights will be offered by the carrier between Gatwick and seven American cities.

This summer, Gatwick will provide 90 weekly flights to a total of ten US cities.

Six weekly flights to Washington, one daily trip to Los Angeles, three weekly flights to San Francisco, and five weekly flights to Boston are all included in the new Norse Atlantic itinerary.

Return prices with lead-ins to Boston begin at £370, San Francisco at £410, Los Angeles and Washington at £430.

Service will begin in Washington on 1st June, in Los Angeles on 30th June, in San Francisco on 1st July, and in Boston on 2nd September.

Chief executive Bjorn Tore Larsen said: “This marks an important day for the UK aviation industry and for consumers as we celebrate serving more destinations to the US from London Gatwick this summer than any other airline. 

“The addition of direct flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Boston to our already popular New York, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale/Miami services will provide greater choice and value for consumers.”

Gatwick chief executive Stewart Wingate said: “Long-haul routes, particularly in North America, are a hugely important aspect of our strategy, especially as we look to return to pre-Covid levels of passengers and destinations.
