On Friday (12th August), Norse Atlantic Airways flew for the first time between Gatwick and JFK airports in New York.
The daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner travel to New York has two cabin options: Economy and Premium, with prices starting at £357 roundtrip.
The low-cost long-distance airline also started operating flights between Gatwick and Oslo on Friday.
Boeing 787 Dreamliners with Premium and Economy seats also run the daily route to Oslo.
Additionally, Norwegian airlines from Oslo may connect travelers from the UK to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Los Angeles.
Norse Atlantic Airways’ CEO, Bjorn Tore Larsen, stated: “We are very pleased to now be able to welcome customers at London Gatwick on board our Boeing 787 Dreamliners to New York and Oslo.”
Chief Executive at Gatwick, Stewart Wingate, added: “North America is a key market for us, with New York continually among our most popular destinations.
“We currently operate 40 long-haul routes across the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Africa, Middle East and Asia, so it’s great news for our passengers – as well as businesses across the region – that we are able to add another fantastic long-haul carrier to our operation, increasing choice and competition.”
