Onboard the World Voyager, Nicko Cruises is giving passengers a comprehensive look at Cuba in an effort to publicize the slow cruising philosophy of the company.
“Onboard the World Voyager, our guests enjoy a cruise with a yacht feeling, thanks to the small size of the ship and the excellent service on board,” said Guido Laukamp, managing director of Nicko Cruises.
“The timetable is designed in such a way that you can discover all the highlights that Cuba has to offer with enough time and of course not miss out on the relaxation in between,” added Laukamp.
According to a statement from the firm, the slow cruising concept with extended layovers in the various ports enables visitors to experience unique and original impressions, supported by a choice of activities, like antique vehicle tours and cookery lessons.
Visitors to Santiago de Cuba can explore the fortifications, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or see the remnants of the Cuban revolution. Additionally, visitors will get the chance to explore Cienfuegos, often known as the “pearl of Cuba.”
The Cuba experience offered by Nicko Cruises also includes a snorkeling excursion to Cayo Largo del Sur and Zodiac exploration of the local flora and fauna.
The World Voyager will make a stop at the port of Maria la Gorda on its way to Havana before continuing on to the Guanahacabibes peninsula. Vacationers who take a dancing class become completely engrossed in the rhythms, dance steps, and attitude of Cuba.
A 15-day trip from St. Martin to Cozumel in February 2023 with a focus on Cuba and a detour through the Dominican Republic is available for tourists who book last-minutely.
