In September 2024, the Sun Princess, a new Princess Cruises ship, will make a port call in Southampton as part of her inaugural European season.
After being launched in February 2024, the first ship in Princess’ fleet to be propelled by liquefied natural gas will dock in the UK port on September 22 and September 23.
Vice-President of Princess Cruises for the UK and Europe, Eithne Williamson, stated: “It will be the first time a new ship in the Princess fleet has called into a UK port during a maiden season in more than 10 years.
“Sun Princess will also be our first ship to be powered by eco-friendly liquefied natural gas, just one of a host of ways we are honouring our commitment to sustainable operations.”
The company will issue the remainder of the schedule, including the itinerary departing from Southampton, on 9th November despite the fact that the first three Sun Princess departures have already gone on sale.
The ship, which has 21 decks, will have more than 1,500 balcony rooms in addition to 29 restaurants and bars.
When traveling on a MedallionClass ship, passengers can also get the Princess Medallion “experience”.
The MedallionClass offers faster boarding, Wi-Fi, in-cabin navigation, cabin entrance, as well as the ability to purchase and receive food and beverages.
