After a two-year hiatus owing to the epidemic, Myanmar simplified Covid entry restrictions for overseas tourists this week and began accepting e-visa applications on the same day.
Myanmar’s government announced plans to reopen its borders while maintaining pandemic standards like as vaccine certification, PCR testing, and local medical insurance through Myanmar Insurance.
Arrivals must be completely vaccinated and show documentation of a second Covid dose administered at least 14 days before arrival, or proof of recovery from Covid-19. They must also show proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test result from no more than 72 hours before departure and acquire a Covid 19 travel insurance policy with Myanmar Insurance.
All guests must have a Covid quick antigen test upon arrival. If they are negative, they can continue their journey; but, if they are positive, they must isolate at a certified government hospital or motel at their own expense.
