The MSC Virtuosa will provide ex-UK trips out of Southampton in the winter of 2022–2023 and the summer of 2023, according to MSC Cruises.
The company will be operating a vessel constantly from the UK during the entire year for the first time.
The newly introduced Northern Pearls itinerary will now be offered by Virtuosa, which replaced MSC Preziosa’s itineraries this winter. Virtuosa was launched in 2021 and was the first ship to begin UK cruises in May of that same year.
Since Virtuosa first arrived in the UK, Antonio Paradiso, managing director for MSC Cruises in the UK and Ireland, claimed that reception from the company’s passengers has been “amazing” and the ship has been a “great hit.”
“The increased appetite for stress-free no-fly cruises out of the UK combined with the benefits of the new state-of-the-art Horizon Terminal has resulted in huge demand,” he added.
“The continued deployment of one of our newest and most innovative ships out of the UK is just further proof of the continued importance of the UK market, which began with our first full ex-UK season back in 2018.
“Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and we are committed to offering the best possible experience for our guests from the UK and Ireland.”
MSC Grandiosa will be replaced by Virtuosa in the summer of 2023. Virtuosa will provide a variety of itineraries, including shorter voyages of seven nights or less and longer cruises. Soon, more information on the complete program will be made available.
