It was announced by MSC Cruises that the MSC Bellissima would sail year-round in Japan.
In addition to launching sales for its inaugural winter sailing program in Japan, the company recently marked the beginning of its summer 2023 season in Japan with the ship in Yokohama.
MSC Cruises now has the highest cruise capacity in the nation and is on track to overtake Royal Caribbean as the leading cruise operator in Japan thanks to year-round sailings.
In the summer of 2018, the firm will run eight to nine-night sailings from Yokohama, and in the winter of 2023–24, the company will launch 11–, nine–, and six–night trips from the same port in November.
The ship will have its homeport in Naha/Okinawa between January and March 2024. It will sail to Taiwan (China) and within Japan on four- or five-night excursions with a variety of itineraries to different locations.
These include Okinawa, the fifth-largest island in Japan, which is renowned for its tropical climate, beaches, and coral reefs; Ishigaki, another beach resort; and Miyako Island, which is well-known for its underwater caverns.
Additionally, Keelung City in Taiwan, which is surrounded by mountains, will be visited by the MSC Bellissima.
