Mediterranean Marvels: Discovering History, Gastronomy, and Customs on Oceania’s 2024 Cruises

In 2024, Oceania Cruises will launch a range of experiences in the Mediterranean, departing from locations like Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, Athens, and London. The history, gastronomy, and customs of the Mediterranean can all be discovered during a cruise on one of the Marina, Riviera, Sirena, or Vista. The length of the itineraries, from Miami to Rome, ranges from seven days to 59 days.

There are 94 different itineraries available on Oceania’s 2024 cruises, and there are a variety of shore excursions to select from, including going truffle hunting in the countryside close to Rome and visiting the active volcanoes on Santorini.

Travellers can learn about the traditions of Mediterranean cooking on the Food and Wine Trails and Culinary Discovery Tours, while the Beyond Blueprints tours provide an inside look at some of the most well-known structures and sites in the world.

Seasonal high points for 2024 include:

• The 59-day Seafarer’s Inspiration cruise, which departs from Miami and arrives in Rome on the Sirena, stops at Jost Van Dyke, Roseau, Bridgetown, Porto Grande, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Arrecife, Casablanca, Gibraltar, Portimo, Lisbon, Santiago de Compostela, Saint-Malo, London, Edinburgh, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Glasgow, Belfast, departs on 27th March 2024.
• The 10-day Ionian and Adriatic Seas itinerary includes stops in Istanbul, Ephesus, Mykonos, Athens, Dubrovnik, Pula/Rovinj, and Venice (Trieste) on board the Vista. flies out on 21st  April 2024.
• The 14-day Classical Mediterranean itinerary includes stops in Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, La Goulette, Valletta, Syracuse, Argostoli, Santorini, Athens, Izmir, Messina, and Sorrento while sailing on the Marina from Barcelona to Rome and featuring chef Sara Moulton. flies out on 18th May 2024.
• The 10-day Mediterranean Fascination itinerary includes stops in Jerusalem (Ashdod), Limassol, Rhodes, Santorini, Taormina, Naples/Pompeii, Rome, Florence/Pisa/Tuscany, Saint-Tropez, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Propriano, Cagliari, Palermo, and Amalfi/Positano. The cruise departs from Jerusalem and arrives in Rome aboard the Riviera. flies out on 29th May 2024.
