Today marks the official opening of the Marty Hotel Bordeaux, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in the Mériadeck commercial area. The energetic hotel’s distinctive industrial design is intended to be an inspiring, creative, and active atmosphere to immerse both visitors and locals in the neighborhood. With the opening of the Marty Hotel Bordeaux in 2023, the Tapestry Collection will have significantly expanded its presence in the area.
“Now more than ever, travelers are searching for unique experiences and distinctive hotels that enhance their stay,” said Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer, Hilton. “Today, we welcome Marty Hotel Bordeaux, Tapestry Collection by Hilton to our expanding portfolio in France. This hotel will authentically connect guests to the culture and charm of the area and is an exciting addition to our growing collection of Lifestyle properties in France.”
The hotel lobby is designed with a mix of traditional wood, steel, and concrete industrial characteristics interwoven with vibrant colors, vintage furniture, and multi-textured fabrics. It contains a big bar that is capped with an avalanche of chandeliers and acts as the hotel’s focal point. There are 61 sparsely furnished guest rooms, several with balconies and terraces, that offer a comfortable ambiance with stocked bookcases, wooden panels, industrial lighting, and a range of textures.
Marty offers food that is deeply anchored in the terroir of Bordeaux from sunrise till dusk. Guests can start their day with a delectable buffet filled with high-quality, fresh goods, and end it with dishes centered on regional ingredients prepared by artisan partners Bouche and La Cave à Titoune.
“Marty is so much more than an ordinary hotel: it’s a new urban hotel in Bordeaux that inspires guests to explore the local culture. It’s a haven for creative types, where artsy bedrooms and a trendy bar – not to mention a whole host of works of art – converge and interact with each other,” said Aurélie Jadelus, general manager. “The name MARTY is derived from a combination of the letter “M” of the Mériadeck district and the “arty” concept, highlighting the vital role that art plays in the venue. This new hotel is a genuine incubator, halfway between an art gallery and a living space.”
Marty, which was recently acquired by Vicartem in collaboration with Extendam, will be run by the hotel management firm Younight Hospitality.
The Hotel de Ville, Tour Pey-Berland, and Cathédrale-Primatiale Saint-André can all be reached on foot from the Marty Hotel Bordeaux, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which is situated at 153 street Georges Bonnac in Bordeaux, France. The Grand Théâtre and Saint-Jean train station are also nearby.
