Marella Cruises to Remove Its Covid-19 Vaccination Requirements

Beginning on 1st May, Marella Cruises will no longer demand all passengers to present a Covid-19 immunization certificate before boarding.

The airline announced on March 1 that all of its destinations would be subject to the new regulations, with the exception of those that still require the Covid inoculation for entry, including the US.

“Many destinations no longer require vaccination as a condition to entry, and relaxing these rules is the natural next step as the travel and cruise industry progresses after the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Marella managing director Chris Hackney.

 “We hope the relaxation of these rules means our guests can enjoy an easier pre-travel experience.”

All four ships in Marella’s fleet require vaccinations for passengers arriving before 1st May, and youngsters between the ages of two and 11 must adhere to the rules established by the authorities at each port of arrival.

Following the line’s decision to stop pre-departure testing in October 2022, Marella has decided to do away with vaccine restrictions.
