Loganair will expand its service between Scotland and England in the upcoming year.
In response to rising passenger demand, regional airlines have added more services on popular routes for the summer of 2023.
Along with an additional daily service between Glasgow and Southampton, there are additional flights from Edinburgh to Southampton, Exeter, and Bergen in Norway.
According to the airline, adding a fifth daily flight on its Edinburgh and Glasgow flights to and from Southampton improves interconnectivity for businesses throughout the UK while providing more flexibility for leisure travelers.
A new evening flight has been introduced for a later departure to and from Glasgow, and flights are timed to fill in a gap in the schedule to allow travellers to arrive in the Scottish capital early.
There will be two flights every day between Exeter and Edinburgh, up from six this summer. The starting cost will be £79.
Four more flights each week are operated by Loganair between the capital of Scotland and Bergen.
Following its first pre-pandemic success in 2019, the airline resumed flights from Edinburgh to Bergen and Stavanger early this year. Prices begin at £103.
Luke Lovegrove, chief commercial officer, said: “Loganair has experienced its busiest summer ever this year, carrying a record number of customers across the UK and Europe and we expect summer 2023 to be no different.
“We take great pride in facilitating growth in interconnectivity across the UK and by increasing our frequency on some of our key routes, we can better serve our customers.”
