In order to meet the growing demand for adventurous winter travel to Lapland, the Dutch airline KLM has expanded its network this winter to include the town of Rovaniemi in northern Finland.
The tourist board in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, refers to it as the “official hometown of Santa Claus.”
Visitors can experience reindeer safaris, the Northern Lights, and snow scooter exploration during their vacations in the area.
Beginning on 3rd December and continuing until 25th March 2023, the weekly service will run on Saturdays from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.
Direct flights from the UK to Rovaniemi are available through the Schiphol airport.
On this route, KLM will fly a Boeing 737-800, which has 150 seats in economy class, 30 seats in business class, and a maximum capacity of 186 passengers.
After Helsinki, Rovaniemi will be KLM’s second stop in Finland.
