Jumeirah Maldives Set to Open to the Public on 1st October

The Jumeirah Group has announced the opening of a new resort in the Maldives, which will open to the public on 1st October 2021. The all-villa Jumeirah Maldives is located on the North Male Atoll, and is accessible from Male Airport by speedboat or seaplane.

It will have 67 beach and over-water villas with one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, all with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.

The company boasts that its villas, which start at 171 square meters and include a private infinity pool and roof-top patio with a dedicated dining area for guests, are “among the most spacious in the North Malé Atoll.” Each of the three-bedroom villas has its own gym.

Miaja, a Singaporean design studio, created the interiors, which the business described as “echoing modern Mediterranean style.”

Shimmers and Kayto will be the resort’s signature eateries, with Shimmer having its own resident DJ and live music performances on a regular basis.

The Talise Spa, meanwhile, offers six overwater treatment rooms, as well as a variety of therapeutic and re-energizing treatments and daily yoga lessons.

Water sports, beach volleyball, billiards, and tennis are among the many activities available to guests, as are underwater photography, planting coconut palms, and manufacturing coconut oil. A submarine trip is also available at the resort, which guests can take at night “to see the rarely-seen underwater world after sunset.”

Meanwhile, the resort is attempting to attract families by offering a splash waterpark and an indoor play area for children, as well as an outdoor theater that will show family favorites as well as blockbusters more appropriate for older audiences.
