With the opening of its first resort in Indonesia, the Jumeirah Group has expanded its worldwide portfolio.
The all-villa Jumeirah Bali is located in the Pecatu district of the island’s south-west corner.
Each of the 123 villas has its own private pool and outdoor living area with an open pavilion facing the horizon or a lush tropical garden. One and two bedroom layouts, as well as the four-bedroom Royal Water Palace, are available to guests.
The home, according to Jumeirah, is inspired by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa’s ‘tropical modernist’ style, which features indoor-outdoor architecture and local building materials.
The resort will have three trademark restaurants and bars, each with views of the island, directed by French-trained chef Vincent Leroux. Segaran, an all-day eating location serving Balinese and Southeast Asian cuisine, and Maja Sunset Pool Lounge, which serves cocktails and finger food by one of the property’s infinity pools, are two of the property’s eateries.
In June, Akasa Gastro Grill will open, incorporating historic cooking skills and techniques as well as a resident DJ and specialized mixologist.
Several infinity pools, a kids’ club, exclusive access to a private beach, and the Talise Spa with two individual treatment rooms, a sauna, steam bath, Vichy shower treatments, and a modern fitness center are among the hotel’s amenities.
In July, Jumeirah will open what is said to be the island’s first authentic Turkish hammam.
Guided meditation, yoga courses with the property’s resident master yogi, and hiking excursions are available to guests.
The resort, according to Jumeirah, is committed to sustainability and boasts the world’s most advanced desalination system. The Jumeriah Uluwatu Foundation, which is dedicated to the well-being of the Balinese people, also helps the local community.
“Bali is well-known for its captivating beauty and rich cultural heritage that sets it apart from the rest of the archipelagos around the world,” said José Silva, chief executive of Jumeirah Group.
“Jumeirah Bali is a first-of-its-kind concept that embodies the spirit of the province with our unmatched hospitality, providing guests a truly unique and memorable experience to reconnect with nature.
“The resort adds another feather to Jumeirah Group’s growing international portfolio providing a multicultural hospitality destination, integrating sustainability, culture, and wellness.”
To commemorate its opening, Jumeirah Bali is offering a special opening deal on stays booked before 30th June 2022, and valid until 31st March 2023. The deal includes a 25% discount on the best available rate, a 10% food and beverage discount, a complimentary upgrade (based on availability), and breakfast and resort credit (for stays of two nights or more).
