Jumeirah Group Opens its First Resort in Oman

The debut of Jumeirah Group’s first resort in Oman has increased the company’s presence in the Middle East.

Jumeirah Muscat Bay is situated 15 minutes from the Muscat capital in the quiet cove of Bandar Jissah, nestled between the Hajar mountains and the Gulf of Oman.

The hotel has 206 rooms and suites, all of which have ocean views. Families can choose connecting rooms. Additionally, there are five “summerhouses” with two or four beds each, a Sanctuary Villa, and a private beach. Each of these accommodations has its own private pool and butler service.

There are five places to eat, including the oceanfront, multi-cuisine restaurant Peridot, the afternoon tea lounge Tarini, the poolside restaurant Zuka, the bar and terrace Anzo, and the trademark restaurant Brezza, which will offer seafood in sharing-style and debut in September.

The hotel will also house the first two-floor Talise Spa in Oman, which will have 10 treatment rooms, a hammam, a sauna, a steam room, and a variety of therapeutic treatments that can be customized for each client’s needs.

A modern fitness center, yoga studio, tennis court, and a diving and watersports center with Padi certification are also available to guests. Younger visitors can participate in a kids’ club and a variety of sports, such as sailing and snorkeling with turtles, as well as trekking and biking through the Hajar mountains.

To mark its debut, the hotel is offering a special opening deal. For reservations made before September 30, 2022, guests will receive up to 20% off on stays of four nights or longer, a complimentary stay for one child under the age of 11 sharing a room with an adult, free access to the kids’ club for younger guests, and $100 in resort credits that can be used for food, drinks, or spa treatments.
