JetBlue will launch its first transatlantic flights this week, despite the Covid epidemic.
The airline’s inaugural flight from New York is scheduled to arrive at Heathrow on Thursday morning.
Gatwick flights begin on 29th September.
In August, one-way flights on the airline’s website start at £232 and go up to £533.
New single-aisle Airbus A321LR aircraft with 24 Mint suites and 114 economy seats will fly both trips daily.
Summer 2022 will see the addition of flights from Boston.
According to the BBC, there is “high demand” for the London route in the United States, where JetBlue has returned to 2019 levels.
JetBlue aimed to have a “disruptive and long-term influence” on the market, he said.
