Turkey will begin serving passengers in the summer of 2023 earlier thanks to Jet2 and Jet2holidays.
In the upcoming year, flights to Dalaman and Izmir will begin on 17th March and 15th April, respectively.
The action comes after the operator moved the schedule for next summer’s flights to Bodrum forward to the beginning of April.
This is in addition to the company’s ten UK departure airports offering year-round service to Antalya.
As a jumping-off point to resorts including Olu Deniz, Marmaris, Iclemer, and Dalyan, Dalaman will be served by early season flights from Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, and Stansted.
In April, flights to Izmir from Birmingham, Manchester, and Stansted will be available for destinations including Kusadasi and Ozdere.
Steve Heapy, the company’s CEO, said: “Dalaman and Izmir are both enormously popular with customers and independent travel agents, and there is huge demand for both destinations and not just during the peak summer season.
“We have experienced a remarkable period of growth in Turkey on the back of this sustained demand, and we have continued to demonstrate our commitment to Turkey by working alongside the Turkish government, hoteliers and our partners to bring more UK holidaymakers to this wonderful country.
“By extending the summer ’23 season to Dalaman and Izmir, we are continuing to demonstrate that commitment and we know just how popular these additional services will be.”
Counsellor of The Turkish Culture and Information Office, Arzu Kahraman Yilmaz, added: “With both Dalaman and Izmir witnessing a surge in travellers for both short and long breaks throughout the year, the extended routes from the regional airports in the UK to these iconic hotspots will make travel to Türkiye ever more easy.”
