With the addition of extra seats from important airports, Jet2 has increased its summer commitment to Turkey to more than two million passengers.
For the summer of 2023, Antalya and Dalaman will have more than 25,000 additional seats added by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. With up to 186 flights each week out of 10 UK airports, the two brands assert that they will now have two million seats to Turkey available for purchase this summer.
The business has now committed a significant chunk of its 5.3 million licensed capacity to the nation thanks to the additions.
Turkey’s popularity has increased as a result of the Turkish lira’s depreciation against the British pound; today, £1 buys 23 lira as opposed to 18 a year ago.
Between March and June, additional shoulder season services are offered by Belfast International, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, and Stansted. All will provide more Antalya services, and more Dalaman flights will be available from Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, and Stansted.
Chief Executive Officer of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, stated: “We are experiencing strong demand from customers looking to enjoy some early Turkish sun and take advantage of the fantastic value the destination offers.
“As always, we have been quick to respond by adding extra capacity to Antalya and Dalaman from seven of our UK bases. This expansion further strengthens our commitment to the destination and comes as a result of us working with our industry and hotel partners in Turkey.”
