Early next month, Japan will lift all Covid restrictions on visitors from abroad.
As of 8th May, Covid will be considered a common disease, and proof of three immunizations and a test 72 hours before departure won’t be required.
Since they were introduced in February 2020, Japan has had among of the strictest Covid regulations in the entire globe. It wasn’t until March 2022, when a few overseas visitors were allowed, that they started to ease up.
Visitors from the UK will still be required to present valid certification up until the laws alter, according to the UK FCDO.
Added was: “For arrivals who are triple-vaccinated, there is no longer a requirement to have a Covid-19 test before you fly.”
