Beginning on 7th September, Japan will no longer need visitors who have received all necessary vaccinations to demonstrate a negative pre-departure PCR Covid test.
Fumio Kishida, the prime minister of Japan, announced the modification on Wednesday (24th August).
Travelers entering Japan today are required to provide documentation of a negative test performed within 72 hours of departure.
On June 10, the nation reopened to visitors for organized tours only.
The daily limit for incoming travelers, which is presently 20,000, will be increased, according to Kishida, “as soon as possible.”
Travelers who have received three doses of a Covid-certified vaccination are considered fully immunized.
