Introducing Mandarin Oriental Bankside: A Landmark Destination in London’s South Bank

The 5.5-acre Bankside Yards development will include the Mandarin Oriental Bankside, London. Along with 171 hotel rooms and 70 branded Residences at Mandarin Oriental, it will be housed in a freestanding structure.

The Bankside Yards project will repair 14 Victorian railway arches and reunite the area between the Tate Modern and Blackfriars Station. This will be the first time in 150 years that the public will have access to these arches. With facilities, bars, restaurants, cultural spaces, and flats, it’s anticipated to be the first large mixed-use development in the UK to be fully operated without the use of fossil fuels.

The wellness and fitness amenities at the Mandarin Oriental Bankside in London will include a Spa at Mandarin Oriental, a 25-meter lap pool, a fitness facility, and heat and water sensations. On the first floor and the nineteenth story of the structure, it will include four dining options.

According to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s group chief executive, James Riley, the building “will undoubtedly become a landmark destination in London’s South Bank.”

An international group of real estate developers, comprising Hotel Properties Limited, Native Land Limited, and Amcorp Properties Berhad, is creating the Bankside Yards complex.
