As the Northern Lights season approaches, Hurtigruten is increasing passenger capacity onboard its seven ships that operate Norwegian coastal voyages.
The shore excursion schedule will gradually return to normal as well.
The action came after the Norwegian government lifted the majority of Covid-19 restrictions in the country.
Hedda Felin, CEO of Hurtigruten Norway, said: “We are very excited to now have the opportunity to give even more guests the unique experience to sail the Norwegian Coast, and let our guests enjoy the wonders of the northern lights under more normal circumstances.
“Safety always comes first, and we keep many of our health and safety in place. At the same time, we can now welcome more guests onboard and can restart even more of our excursions.
“This is very good news for our guests, local communities, local suppliers, and the travel industry along the Norwegian coast.”
